PowerGrades App Privacy Policy
This policy applies to all information collected or submitted in our PowerGrades app for iOS devices and any other platforms.
Information we collect
When logging into our app, you will be asked to enter your school’s PowerSchool web address, account username and password. We store information about the student(s) that appear when logging into the account provided at the PowerSchool web address provided, including, but not limited to, full name, grade level, grade point average, classes being taken, grades, assignments, and scores. We also store information about your student’s school, including, but not limited to, school name and address, and teacher names and email addresses.
If you enable push notifications, we need to store the token your device gives us in order to send them. We only ever use push notifications to initiate background downloads and notify you of changes in class grades, scored assignments, or grade point average. We never use push notifications for marketing.
You may be given the option to enter your time zone location within the app. The time zone selected is used when fetching updates for your account and for sending push notifications at times that are appropriate for your location or preselected by you.
Like most websites and apps, we also store information through the use of software that may be transparent to users. For example, we may log your IP address and general information about your browser or device.
Information usage
We use the information we collect to operate this service, improve our app and accompanying server infrastructure, and customer support.
We do not share your personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish PowerGrades’ functionality.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you provide sensitive information to us, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Accessing your information
You may access or change your information or delete your account at any time by logging into the app.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We never collect or maintain information in our app from those we actually know are under 13, and our app and services are directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
